SUCCESS AT THE INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD
15From November 7 to 10, the International Mathematics Olympiad was held in the city of Katowice, Republic of Poland. In the individual competition category, Yazjuma Nurjayev, a fifth-year student of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, majoring in Agricultural Engineering (Teacher Training), performed successfully and won a bronze medal.
The students from Turkmenistan, Poland, the United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Uzbekistan participated educational competition.
According to the results of the Olympiad, Turkmen students won 6 gold, 9 silver, and 11 bronze medals in the individual competition. Among the medalists were students from Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University for the Humanities and Development, Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University, the State Energy Institute, Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, the Telecommunications and Informatics Institute, Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, and the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
