The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi
1779As our Honorable President Arkadag Hero Serdar pointed out, the works of our thinker and poet Magtymguly are today the voice of the Turkmen soul and light up the world. In order to worship our national heritage during the Revival of the new era of a powerful state, further reforming our country, increasing its glory and international reputation, studying the life and creativity of Magtymguly Fragi, literary heritage of the young generation and spreading it to the world and educate in the spirit of pride, love and respect, on the basis of the decision of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, 2024 was declared the year of "The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi". In the glorious year, large-scale work is being carried out in the country to further enhance the glory of Magtymguly Fragi's creativity and spread it widely, to strengthen international cooperation in this field. According to the President's decision, the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, the great thinker and poet of the East, is widely celebrated at the world level.
On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi's 300th birthday, at the session of the Permanent Council of the International Organization of Turkish Culture (TURKSOY), the unanimous support of the initiative of the country to declare 2024 as the year of “Magtymguly Fragi, the great poet and thinker of the Turkish world", as well as the including collection of the poet's manuscripts in the list of the United nations’ "Truth of the World" international program of the Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) and in the list of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi to be celebrated together with UNESCO in 2024-2025 proves that the creativity of our classical poet is recognized at the world level. The construction of a huge statue of Magtymguly Fragi at the foothills of Kopetdag is a clear symbol of the great value of the great poet's life and creative heritage by the generations of today.
In the educational system of the country, work is being carried out to study the rich and valuable literary heritage of our great poet, which is part of the golden treasure of world literature, and to promote it among the young generations. Within the framework of the "Road Map" of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan on the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, the great thinker and classical poet of the East, a wide range of contests is given to various events. In them, Magtymguly Fragi's works of deep wisdom, his philosophical views, thoughts on unity, charity, and exhortations are placed on the basis of the state policy aimed at the spiritual perfection of the Turkmen society and the spiritual health of the current and future generations of the people.
In accordance with the mentioned "Road Map" and on the occasion of the declaration of 2024 as the "Ocean of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" year, the plans of events to be held at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University are being implemented. Last year, a scientific-practical conference "Berkarar döwlet islärin", a literary evening called "Magtymguly Fragi in world literature", an essay competition on choosing a profession and a career among students under the title "Ýigit ussadyndan öwrense hünär" on Magtymguly Fragi's creativity was held at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, contests were organized among the students of the university on the art reading "Magtymguly Pyragy — akyl gämisi" and staging of the master's poems. The moral poems of the wise poet are regularly preached in the training classes held on Wednesdays of every week. At the beginning of this year, the main activities were launched in our university with a musical ceremony dedicated to the year "The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi".
As it is known, on August 17, 2023, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the "Magtymguly Fragi" cultural-park complex in the capital city, read his new poem there and presented it to our people. The following lines are spoken in the mind and soul of every person who goes to this complex or looks at the tall statue of the wise poet in it:
Baş egip külli türkmeniň eziz jana-janyna,
Müň togap bilen biz barýarys ýanyna.
Barymyzy şärik edýär ägirt şöhrat-şanyna,
Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy.
This work, celebrating the slogan of 2024, makes the personality and creativity of Magtymguly Fragi known to the world. The poem "The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" is a source of inspiration for each of us. It is an important task of educational workers and teachers to widely publicize the importance of the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, Arkadag Hero Serdar, which are gifted with deep wisdom to our people, and the humanitarian principles put forward in the works of Magtymguly Fragi.
In the book of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, titled "Ýaşlar — Watanyň daýanjy" (“Youth is the support of the Motherland”), the meaning and significance of the year " The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi ", a new page of our great destiny, which is devoted to success, is revealed in detail. In the works of Magtymguly Fragi, the statehood, the blessing of speech and wisdom, the source of drawing that will inspire creativity, the beauty of the whole existence, life, and human being will come true in a more perfect and modern way. It is a call to Turkmen youth to fill another page of our statehood with great achievements. It is an invitation to live as Magtymguly for the next year, and then for the rest of our lives." The Turkmen youth are inspired by the words of the Turkmen leader, "Magtymguly is to live in harmony with the innovations and high developments of the time without losing sight of the historical roots and national traditions", they study and create. "A country is only a country with its people!" A state is only a state with its people! following our slogan, " The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" year, they are bringing great success.
We congratulate our National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Hero Arkadag and Arkadag Hero Serdar, on celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, and wish them strong health, long life and great success in all their undertakings.
