THE YEAR OF INTERNATIONAL PEACE AND TRUST WAS AWARDED IN OUR UNIVERSITY
23On January 4, a musical event entitled "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship, Music of Brotherhood" was held at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University on the occasion of naming 2025 the "Year of International Peace and trust" with the participation of professors, teachers and students. At the event, the Year of International Peace and Trust was celebrated in performances performed by amateur artists of the "Altyn Asyr" Cultural Center of the higher educational institution.
The speeches made at the ceremony mentioned that during the Year of International Peace and Trust, Turkmenistan plans to hold important international forums, conferences, meetings, other ceremonies and events at a high level, together with reliable and effective partners of the world and international organizations, and to actively participate in the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. These events, which will be held with the active participation of the country's education system, including representatives of higher education institutions, will be a symbol of the active integration of independent, permanent neutral Turkmenistan into modern international life as a respected and responsible member of the world community, under the wise leadership of our Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
The plan of events to be held at our higher education institution on the occasion of declaring 2025 the “Year of International Peace and Trust” has been approved. Throughout the year, it is planned to organize a variety of events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, which was twice recognized by the United Nations, and International Neutrality Day, including scientific and practical conferences entitled “Independent, Eternally Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of International Peace and Trust for the Whole World!”, “Independent, Eternally Neutral Turkmenistan — UNESCO: Progress Achieved in Cooperation and Future Tasks,” on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals, guided by the book of our Hero Arkadag “Turkmenistan on the Path to Achieving the Goals of Sustainable Development,” “Roundtable” meetings entitled “Neutrality and Sustainable Development,” “Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace,” “Water Diplomacy and International Water Law, Efficient Use of Water Resources,” events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, and the 33rd anniversary of our country becoming a full member of the UN on March 2, 1992. It is also planned to celebrate international dates such as World Health Day, World Environment Day, World Bicycle Day, and World Sustainable Transport Day. In the year of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, work will continue to promote the work of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the results of its meetings, and to explain to student youth that the Halk Maslahaty is an important tool for strengthening the unity and solidarity of the people, managing society, and developing it.
