2024 TOTALS IN OUR UNIVERSITY: AWARD OF PROFESSORS, STAFF AND STUDENTS
21On December 26, on the occasion of the New Year's holiday, a ceremony was held to award professors, staff and students who achieved success in the year "Ocean of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy" at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.
At the event, it was emphasized that the year "Ocean of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy" was one of the most successful and prosperous years for S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. This year, the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great thinker and classical poet of the East, was also celebrated in our higher education school.
Professors, teachers and students of our university participated in festive events and events in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the independence of our dear Motherland, the International Day of Neutrality and the 29th anniversary of Permanent neutrality, the regular meeting of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, organized by the International Organization of Turkish Culture - TURKSOY.
In the year of "Ocean of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy", the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University was included in the "World University Rankings 2025" list of the "Times Higher Education" organization. As a sustainably growing, "green" higher education institution, it earned a well-deserved place in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings.
In the glorious year, the representatives of our higher educational institution were awarded with the medal of Turkmenistan "For Love of the Motherland", the jubilee medal "300 years of Magtymguly Pyragy" and commemorative medals. Also, our student won the contest "Ocean of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy" and was awarded with a gold chain and cash prize of the President of Turkmenistan. On June 12, 2024, on the occasion of the Day of Science, 2 scientific works from our university won in the scientific work competition held by the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. One teacher and four students of our university won the Youth Award of Turkmenistan.
In June of the year "Oman Magtymguly Magtymguly Pyragy", a book reading month was held at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov. The publication of the collection of poems "Voice of the Ocean of Wisdom" of the Turkmen Agricultural University dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy was a wonderful gift. In addition, the "Garagum" literary association of the Turkmen Agricultural University was established within the framework of the association. On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy and the World Day of Environmental Protection, as well as the 1st anniversary of the founding of Arkadag city, S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University organized together with the Ministry of Education and Agriculture of Turkmenistan "The role of youth in achieving the goals of sustainable development". A scientific-design competition was held among students of foreign higher education institutions. As a result of the competition, 4 students of our university won prizes.
Last month, an international scientific-practical conference was organized at our university through the digital system "Sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex". Its results were made available to a wide audience in the form of abstracts of speeches. In the organization of our educational center, the competition in mathematics, physics and informatics held among the students of the secondary vocational schools of the country, and the III open international Internet ecology Olympiad among the students of the higher educational institutions of the country and foreign countries were also successful. 500 students from 70 higher educational institutions from 30 countries, as well as from 25 higher educational institutions of the country took part in the III Open International Internet Ecology Olympiad.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, 661 highly educated graduates graduated from the Turkmen Agricultural University in 28 majors and fields of study. This year, the first graduate students in the newly opened "Agricultural Economics and Management" and "Zootechnics" fields of study were admitted to our higher educational institution. This year, eight textbooks by professors of the Turkmen Agricultural University were published.
Forty-two students from our university took part in 14 subjects in the State Olympiad of students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and 12 won 1st place, 16 won 2nd place, 10 won 3rd place, a total of 38 places. In 2023, 7 of our students won first place, and in 2024, their number reached 12. According to the results of the competition, our university is the leading higher education institution in terms of the number of students who won the first prize.
In 2024, our students won three gold, two silver, and nine bronze medals at international Olympiads and academic competitions. They also won 14 first places, 18 second places, and 19 third places.
With the support of our National Leader and the President, the international cooperation of our educational institution is becoming more and more successful. 2 of the professors of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of the University and 15 of the 5th year students of the Agricultural Mechanization major from September 14 to 21, 2024, at the John Deere International GmbH of Switzerland. In order to become familiar with the modern techniques of European production, they underwent production experience in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Yazjuma Nurjaev, a 5th-year student of Agriculture (engineer-teacher training) of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization, successfully performed and won a bronze medal at the international Olympiad in mathematics held in the city of Katowice, Republic of Poland. Our 4th year students Yaran Hudayberdiev and Kerim Meredov won special awards and gold medals at the VI international science and invention project competition held in Denpasar, Bali, Republic of Indonesia. Representatives of our university actively participated in the Russian Open Youth Water Competition organized by the country's Ecological Project Consulting Institute in Moscow, Russian Federation, and won the grand prize. Recently, Davud Dovletov, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Agricultural Products Processing, majoring in the production of vegetable oil, won the international competition "The best student of the Turkic people". Representatives of the Turkmen Agricultural University attended the 4th Conference of Young Scientists organized by the "Sirius" educational center in the Russian Federation, the 68th meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held in Vienna, the Republic of Austria, and the 7th International Fish Industry in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, took an active part in the III international scientific and educational forum of the Fisheries industry held within the framework of the forum, VII Baikal youth forum held in the Republic of Buryatia. They also participated in the International Volunteers Forum of Commonwealth of Independent States in Cholpon-Ata, Yssyk-Kol region of the Kyrgyz Republic, the European Union and Central Asian Water Movement Youth Conference in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Our streak of such successes can be extended again. These indicators are the result of our united, goal-oriented, responsible and creative work, and our students' worthy response to the trust placed in them. At the event, it was hoped that our success would continue in 2025, which was declared the "Year of International Peace and Trust" by the initiative of independent and eternally neutral Turkmenistan. Participants congratulated on the New Year holiday Hero Arkadag and Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and wished them sound health, long life and great success in all their undertakings.
Then, awards were presented to professors, employees and students of the Turkmen Agricultural University for the development of the country's education, science, agriculture, sports, and culture in the era of Renaissance of the new epoch of the powerful state.
The event continued with musical performances prepared by "Altyn Asyr" cultural center of the university.
