On January 29, 2026, the World Youth Stem Invention Innovation (WYSII — 2026) competition was held in Bangkok, Thailand, organized by the Malaysian Young Scholars Association. Professors, teachers, and students from the SA Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology, and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics participated in it and successfully presented their ideas.

This competition was held under the slogan "Innovations for the Future of Society." A total of more than 900 scientific and innovative projects were submitted from universities in 10 countries, including Turkmenistan, including Malaysia, Thailand, Italy, Poland, Kazakhstan, China, the Philippines, Mexico, and Bangladesh.

Yhlas Kurbanov, a 2nd-year student of the Agriculture specialty (training of engineers-teachers) of the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, and Muhammetali Hangeldiyev, a 4th-year student of the Mechanization of land reclamation work, participated in the competition in the field of artificial intelligence and digital innovation with the web program "Synchy" and received a gold medal and a special cup.

The "Synchy" web-program is particularly important in improving the quality of books and encouraging reading. Authors upload their books and works to it, and readers who read them are encouraged to make notes and find mistakes. This site develops the relationship between the author and the reader. The web-program uses artificial intelligence as an assistant.

Yhlas Kurbanov also participated and won the Global Sustainable Development Goals Competition, organized by the country's Young Scholars Organization and Multimedia University in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, from September 24 to 28, 2025.
