From September 13 to 20, 2025, the head of the Academic Department and a lecturer of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, together with 10 students majoring in Agricultural Mechanization, took part in a study trip to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of the Netherlands to undergo industrial training. They became acquainted with modern machinery produced at the European plants of «John Deere International GmbH» (Swiss Confederation).

On September 17, the delegation attended training sessions at the «John Deere Forum» of the company’s tractor plant in Mannheim. The sessions covered in detail the company’s history, development stages, achievements, as well as the history and accomplishments of the Mannheim tractor factory and its future plans.

Afterwards, the students explored the technical and technological capacities of the production facilities. The plant manufactures tractor models 6110M, 6120M, 6130M, 6140M, 6145M, 6155M, 6175M, 6195M, as well as advanced models 6170R, 6190R, 6210, 6250R and 6R250. A key feature of the plant is its ability to adapt production according to customer requirements. The students observed the entire production cycle, from the smallest parts to the finished tractor. According to specialists, on average, one tractor is assembled in 3.5 hours. Most of the work in the highly automated sections is performed by robots and special machinery. The high level of quality control and adherence to safety standards ensuring the reliability of tractors sparked great interest among the students.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the cab production facility in Bruchsal and the spare parts warehouse. It was noted that the facility is capable of servicing 75% of the company’s machinery, while orders from regional branches are received and processed through a well-organized digital system.

That same day, the delegation also visited the European Technology and Innovation Center of «John Deere» in Kaiserslautern. Specialists emphasized that this center is the source of the company’s innovations and advanced developments. A training session was held on the features of the «Work Planner» software, designed for agricultural work planning.

In the conference hall, there was an exchange of views between the company’s specialists and the training and technical support manager of the joint venture «IPC (International Progress Consult) Agri» on teaching methods for digital electronic control systems in agricultural machinery.

On September 18, the delegation visited the Livestock Training and Research Center in Münchweiler an der Alsenz, where students studied the breeding of Holstein cattle, measures for disease prevention, and milk production.

On September 19, a trip was organized to the plant in Horst (Kingdom of the Netherlands), where self-propelled and trailed sprayers are produced. Experienced specialists provided detailed information about the latest models of sprayers, their innovative features, particularly the «See and Spray» system. The plant produces trailed sprayers of the M700, M700i, M600, M600i, A700, A700i, A600, A600i series and self-propelled sprayers of the R41 series 40i and 50i. The students observed the assembly, painting, and final testing processes.

As part of the trip, excursions were also organized to the beautiful and historical sites of Mannheim, Heidelberg and Cologne. The delegation also visited the «Sinsheim» Technical Museum and the «Mercedes Benz» Museum.

The participants of the study trip express their deep gratitude to the Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating such broad opportunities to develop international cooperation in education and agriculture, as well as for training modern specialists.
